DV Lottery for Nepal
Nepal is an eligible country in the Asia Region for the DV 2011.
If a Nepal born person, want to enter the diversity visa lottery through E-DV online application form, he must have the following qualifications.
1. Their age must be more than of 18.
2. Their education must be Intermediate or certificate level, which the degree is obtained for successfully finishing two years in college after ten years of school. Intermediate or certificate level, which is the degree obtained for successfully attending and passing two years in college after ten years of school.
Ten plus two that includes twelve years of formal schooling (academic or in special cases vocational).
Attendance in a college or 10+2 institute is mandatory to count as twelve years of formal schooling. Private exams taken in lieu of school attendance do not count as twelve years of formal education under the laws of the United States.
Vocational degrees, including the CTEVT, will count only if they are accepted in Nepal as a basis for further academic study to all programs in all institutes of higher education. Vocational degrees that allow limited admission to selected programs do
not count as twelve years of formal education for the purposes of the DV program.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s O*Net OnLine database will be used to determine qualifying work experience.
3. You must have an image file to upload along with E-DV entry form, according to the DV Instruction.
4. If you are married you must include your Spouse details and photo.
5. If you have eligible children, must include their details (in the order) along with their photo.
If you are selected for further processing, you will be notified by Postal mail to your address given in the entry form, along with further instructions, around May 2010 to July 2010.
DV 2010 Results, Second letter and the Interview for Nepal DV Lottery winners.
Those names which are selected by the computer random draw for further processing from Nepal were already been notified to their address which were given in their E-DV entry form with further instructions in the month of May to July 2009. Those who are not selected will not get any notifications.
Issuing visas under the dv 2010 program will start on 1st of October 2009 and will be closed on 30th September 2010.
The second letter or NL or visa interview notification which indicates the time and date of the interview will be sent to those who are selected for the interview 4-6 weeks prior to the interview date.
