DV 2011.

DV 2011 is the visa lottery program for the fiscal year 2011. DV 2011program is operated by the KCC through the U.S State Department according to the instruction from the U.S Senate. No other countries in the world operate a visa lottery program to adjust the diversity in their countries like America. The DV 2011 entries from eligible people are now being processed to select winners through the computer random draw at the KCC Center. DV 2011 visa lottery program will provide 50,000 immigrant visas for those who meet the eligibility.

Those who want to participate in the green card lottery must use the online E-DV Application forms to apply for the diversity visa program in the given 60 day’s period. Also the KCC will not accept paper entries for the program. After this given 60 days period the web site will be closed and no one can apply for the DV Lottery program.
After the entries are submitted computers in the KCC will randomly select nearly 100,000 people as winners and will notify them by regular postal mail in the months of May to July in the year 2010 for the DV-2011. They will be called for the diversity immigrant visa interview from October 2010. Once they receive the interview letter they will have to go to the consular offices on the day of the interview and must pay the non refundable visa fees and have to attend the visa interviews. These visas if they are issued with, will enable them to live and work permanently in the USA.

Here are some facts about the DV visa lottery. A person can submit only one entry as primary applicant for this DV Lottery. You must be born in an eligible country or you can "charge" your spouse or parents country. (Read the DV Instructions.)

Your age must be more than 18 years on the date of application. You should have passed the High school certificate successfully after studying in the junior and high school for 12 years or must have 2 years of work experience within the last 5 years after studying/training for a period of 2 years in an occupation recommended by the DOL.
You must submit one digital image file of yours which must be taken recently according to the DV instruction. If you are a married person you must include details and individual image files of your spouse and all the children who are not married and under the age of 21.This must include all natural and adopted children, children from the previous marriages and children of your spouse's previous marriages.

You are allowed to include only one spouse.

If the husband and wife meet the eligibility requirements husband can submit one entry including wife and eligible children like wise wife too can apply one entry with the husband and eligible children details and images.

The application form will require your email address. This may be used to announce the winners. But they will use this email address for further communication if you are selected for the visa lottery program. So the authorities have requested you to use your own email address rather than your friend's one or company email addresses.
DV-2011 results. Lottery winners will be notified by normal postal mail between the month of May and July 2010 with further instructions.

The entire applicants can check their status online, from July 2010 onwards.
Visa interviews for the DV-2011 will start from 1st of October 2010 and the program will close on 30th September 2011.
Winners must pay a non-refundable visa fee on the day of their interview to the U.S.A consular office only.
Don't send visa fees by post or bank to obtain a DV Lottery visa.
If the visa is refused for any reason the visa fees will not be refunded.
Winning the lottery will not give you the visa right away, but it will give you a chance to apply for the immigrant visa and you must proof your eligibility to obtain the visa at the interview following the normal immigrant visa procedure.

Also you will be requested to provide one affidavit of support in the I-134 form from an American legal permanent resident or American citizen to be issued with the immigrant visa. If you don't have this Affidavit of support then you must proof that you are a very rich person as per the American standard.

It is clearly stated by the U.S State department that if you don't have the eligibility don't apply for the lottery and if you win the lottery don't proceed with the winning.

If you received any winning notification from the KCC by e-mail, Fax or phone don't believe it. Check it thoroughly as some one is trying to cheat you.

For the dv2012 US visa lottery, if you don't know how to apply or don't know to make image files you can use a law firm or lawyer or any company for a service fee. Only thing, they can't promise you that they can make you as a winner in this Green card lottery.
