DV Lottery 2009 visas
DV 2009 Visa lottery did accepted entries from allover the world for a period of 60 days from 3rd of October 2007 at Noon EDT and was ended on 2nd of December 2007 at Noon EST.
Those winners who are selected by the computer random draw will be notified with a case number along with further instruction and related non refundable visa fees infomation.
If you don't have the required eligibility, don't proceed with the program.
There are 50,000 visas available in the 2009 program, and more than that number has been selected and will be informed from May 2008 to July 2008 as DV 2009 results by regular postal mail to the applican'ts given address in the online entry form. Email, Fax or Telephone will not be used to announce the winners, if you get any in this way, double check it.
If the winner is in the USA legally, may contact the USCIS to adjust the status to LPR.
Second letters will be sent to winners in case number order and interview will start in October 2008 to issue visas to qualified people to immigrat to the USA.
Applicants will pay the non refundable visa fee and the diversity processing fee of US$ 755 or eqivelant in local currency personally on the day of the interview personally at the embassy or consulate and can get the official receipt. (Don't use other means like bank drafts or money transfer agencies.)
If you have spouse, children you must pay them also US$755 each.

You must pass medical check up, only from medical practioners who are nominated by the embassy.
You must get police clearence from the police department.
You must have a sponsor in the USA, to prevent you from becoming public charge, possibly a friend or a relative.
If you are issued with a visa you must use it within the given period. Normally 6 months.
If you are refused of visa, your visa fee will not be returned.
