Before you proceed with the notification make sure you have all the required qualifications. Also your original entry should have included your spouse details and all the unmarried and under the age of 21 years of old children, even they are not living with you or not intending to immigrate with you along with their photographs.

You must have either a high school certificate or its equivalent after successfully completed a 12-year course of elementary and secondary education; or Two years of work experience within the past five years in an occupation requiring at least two years of training or experience to perform. Winning the lottery or getting the second letter will not guarantee that you will be issued with the required American visas to live in America permanently.

After receiving the Second confirmation letter, there you can find out the interview date and time. On that day you have to bring the following documents to provide to the consular officer.

The letters you received from the KCC.

Passport with the minimum validity of at least 6 months and must have enough blank pages.

Proof of High School completion and WAEC result sheets or Work experience/training.

Medical examination done from an embassy recommended Medical Doctor.

Police clearance (applicants 16 years and older) from every country in which you have lived for 6 months or more after the age of 16.

If you are alone visa fees will be US$ 819. If you are a married person and have children, then they too must have their medical examinations and each person must pay the DV lottery visa fees US$ 819 and must accompany you to the consular office on the day of the interview.

Nearly 400 people who were selected for the DV 2009 American visa lottery had lost their visas and the visa processing fees due to not meeting the eligibility requirements at their interview time while 700 people got their immigrant visas at the Monrovia consular office under the DV 2009 program where 1,344 visas were reserved for Liberia.
