DV 2013 New changes

There are some changes and requirements are done as DV-2012 to the current DV-2013 Diversity visa registration in the application procedures. As usual in the recent years, all the DV-2013 lottery entries must be submitted electronically during the registration period. In the last DV Lottery there were two kinds of applications were provided by the US authorities and this time there is no path for you to use the SSL application form and there is only one simple application form is available for the DV-2013 visa lottery program.

Up to last year when you sent your application form it used to sent it back to you for correction and there they used to provide your day of your birth in the application form and this time the facility is not available for you to see your birth day of yours and your dependants.

Bangladesh natives are not eligible to participate in the DV-2013 American visa lottery program according to the DV-2013 instructions along with the other ineligible countries.

Further more Poland and South Sudan natives are eligible to participate in the 2013 fiscal year American visa lottery program along with the other eligible countries.

New questions for the DV 2013 are as follows.

1. Country where you live today?
2. What is the highest level of education you have achieved, as of today? You must select one from the available ten options for your higher education you have achieved.
   
   They are
   1. Primary school only,
   2. High school no degree,
   3. High school degree,
   4. Vocational school,
   5. Some university courses,
   6. University degree,
   7. Some graduate level courses,
   8. Master degree,
   9. Some doctorate level courses,
   10. Doctorate degree.
       
       
3. In the "what is your marital status?" Question, the term Separated is replaced by Legally separated. As you are legally separated spouse would not be eligible to immigrate as your derivative. You must select one of these. Unmarried, Married, Divorced, Widowed or Legally Separated.
4. You must provide one email address that should belongs to you only. Then you must confirm the E-Mail Address in the next column too.
5. Application accepting period is increased to 32 days. It was before kept as 60 days and in the last year it was given only 30 days..
6. Your winning notification will not be sent by postal mail as before. Instead all the applicants must check their DV-2013 status online and if selected as a winner, must follow the provided instructions in the web site.
7. Total visa for the DV immigrant processing is US$819 for the primary applicant. Also all the dependants too must pay each US$ 819 even if they are not planned to immigrate with the primary applicant.
8. Winner must provide one Affidavit of support through the form I-134. (Sponsor)
